Washington Spa Alliance Pushes “Pause” for Strategic Planning in 2018

Since forming in 2010, Washington Spa Alliance has carried out its founding mission, as stated in its announcement news release, ”as a Capital District regional resource for the spa community and for those whose interests dovetail with WSPA’s tenets of wellbeing and sustainability.”

That June 17 announcement went on to say: “The mission of WSPA is to act as a knowledge center, connecting spa professionals within the nation’s greater capital region while raising awareness of the robust spa community here. WSPA will promote the exchange of education and innovation in the field, and work to ensure that the highest ideals of spa are met through policy and action.”

While WSPA’s founding manifesto still holds true in 2018, the evolving world of wellbeing has caused the Board, with the support of influential founding members, to elect to place WSPA activities on hiatus while we revisit the organization’s mission and positioning. This strategic pause is designed to put WSPA on the right course for the future.

WSPA’s acclaimed Symposium as well as its educational and networking programs are on hold for 2018.
